🌌 Open Spaces

Do you have a topic that you want to share or discuss with other Python enthusiasts? Do you want to learn from the experiences and insights of others in the community? Do you want to have fun and make new connections at PyCon Philippines 2024?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should join us at the Open Spaces event, where you can create your own meetups and join others in a casual and friendly setting.

What are Open Spaces?

Open Spaces are self-organized meetups that occur in a designated room on the second day of the conference. Anyone can suggest a topic and host an Open Space session, and all attendees are welcome to join any session that piques their interest. You can use the Open Spaces to:

  • Share your ideas, projects, or experiences with Python
  • Ask for feedback, advice, or help on a specific problem or challenge
  • Learn something new or explore a topic in depth
  • Meet and network with people who share your interests or goals (technical or non-technical)
  • Talk about / play boardgames
  • Have fun and enjoy the PyCon Philippines 2024 spirit

How to participate in Open Spaces?

To propose a topic and host an Open Space session, you need to fill out a form and submit it to the Open Spaces staff at the registration desk.

To join an Open Space session, you just need to check the schedule board and go to the room where the session is held. You can join or leave any session at any time, as long as you respect the host and the other participants.
